Deeply Rooted Magazine's One Year Anniversary Celebration

In late January of 2014, I took a leap of faith and hit "publish" for a crowd-funding campaign that would soon launch this magazine. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. All I knew was that God had laid it on my heart to start a Gospel-centered magazine for Christian women that contained rich content and beautiful design. My heart was burdened for the Christian women of this generation, and although my resources were extremely limited, I knew that if he was calling me to this he would provide. And he did. Less than 30 days later he led me to a graphic designer, a team of willing artists and writers, and just enough money to fund our first print run.

It's been a little over a year since then; we recently released our 5th issue and are about to go to print with our 6th. God is good! He has shown me over the course of this year how his plans are bigger, his ways are wiser, and he is more than capable of fulfilling the things that he has called us to. Do you want to know how big this God is? He can take an on-the-go military wife and mother of two that just moved to Alabama with zero connections, and raise up a ministry through her that has a global reach. In this past year our magazine has reached thousands upon thousands of women, and he deserves all the credit.

Our one year celebration was not only a party to promote our 5th issue, or a footprint to say, "Hey, we just moved to Pennsylvania!" but it was a testament to the faithfulness of a God and Creator who has had his hand in this ministry since the beginning.

In the midst of a hidden coffee roastery, community was brought together, friendships were forged, and dozens upon dozens of people were witnesses to his faithfulness in this publication. We shared unlimited lattes and a delicious spread, created art at our print making station, and took photos at the photo booth together. This was a day that memorialized our gratitude to God for the work he has done and to thank our readers for their continued support.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting our ministry. We are so excited to see where the Lord leads us over the course of this next year.

For His Glory,
